Business troubleshooting, business problem solving, strategy planning…
What motivates me? Frustration, and the desire to solve puzzles and make things fit for purpose. I ask questions to find the reality of the situation and the root causes. What seems apparent is often caused by something else.

Wasted time, wasted effort, wasted money …
Unfortunately, I’ve worked in too many business that waste time and frustrate their staff.
I’ve worked late nights to fix things that should have never broken in the first place.
Projects that weren’t properly scoped with a timeline as long as a piece of string.
Processes that weren’t followed giving rise to inconsistencies and breakages.
I put in work arounds and quick fixes just to keep things going.
But in the long run these waste time, have inconsistent results and drain profit.
Morale declines and people end up leaving to work somewhere else.
Things become overloaded. Existing staff have to take up the slack. New hires need training and feedback; there is a significant business cultural learning curve.
And then: they get new systems to make everything more efficient. Sometimes these are just very costly vanity projects to show C-suites that they are being “pro-active” and “productive”.
But the root causes haven’t been found, let alone addressed.
And adding these sweeps things under the carpet. It even amplifies chaos.
Does any of this resonate with you?
You shouldn’t have to put up with this – let’s transform it together.
